The school building was inaugurated by Dr. Abdul Salam, the then Hon. Vice Chancellor of the University of Calicut , marking an important milestone in the journey of the institution.
Sri Sankara Vidya Mandiram follows the curriculum of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) , with an emphasis on providing students with a strong academic foundation and a well-rounded education.
The school is also an accredited centre of the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), New Delhi . The institution is a member of Bharatheeya Vidya Niketan , the Kerala unit of Vidya Bharathi .
